Jackson MS, THE CITY WITH SOUL, Jackson State University, and Mississippi Valley State University are excited to host the 1st Annual “Soul-Filled Weekend.” An HBCU Football weekend unlike any other. For the first time in history, The Soul-Filled Weekend brings together two classic back-to-back football games. Saturday, September 25, 2021 Jackson State University challenges Delta State University for the WC Gorden Classic. Sunday, September 26, Mississippi Valley State University takes on Southern University for the Delta-Bayou Classic! This specially curated weekend of experiences will feature signature interactive and themed activities that we believe will stand as the standard for years to come. Expanded tailgating will include Food, Music, Vendors, and more. So gather your friends and family and MEET ME IN MISSISSIPPI for Soul-Filled Weekend. The weekend festivities are expected to bring 20,000 people to the city of Jackson with an economic impact of $15 Million. Click here to see the full list of official scheduled events and activities.
